November has been a busy month for GSTA! In addition to our duck hunt, we also had a team travel to California to participate in the Second Annual Cornhole Tournament benefiting GSTA, put on by Anrak Charitable Foundation. Anrak Corporation is a family-owned road contracting company located in California, and they have made a commitment to give back to their community through creating their own charitable foundation. Anrak has been a huge supporter of GSTA since 2018 and we are tremendously honored and grateful to them for making this cornhole tournament happen for the past two years. Our team, including founder Kent Solheim, board member (and all-around awesome guy) Michael Love, and several of our awesome team leaders had a blast competing in the tournament!

Our team also got to see the broom construction vehicle that Anrak has dedicated to Gold Star Teen Adventures in honor of Army Sgt. 1st Class Trevor Diesing. SFC Diesing gave his life in 2005 serving during Operation Iraqi Freedom, and his son Cole (a GSTA alum) now works for Anrak. We love seeing what our alumni do with the next chapter of their lives as young adults, and we couldn’t be more proud of Cole. We are extremely honored by the commitment Anrak has shown to GSTA, and we are immensely grateful to them for putting together an outstanding weekend dedicated to supporting the children of fallen military, law enforcement, and first responders.
