GSTA Special Operations Adventure 2017

This year Gold Star Teen Adventures will be holding our first annual Special Operations Adventure at the Altair Training Facility in Immokalee, Florida. This week is going to be filled with action and will include a shooting day, an infiltration techniques day, a medical training day, and a day of advanced paintball on a giant Urban Terrain complex.

On our shooting day, Gold Star teens learn how to shoot AR-15 rifles, pistols, and sniper systems on a two-mile shooting range! In typical GSTA fashion, the day will end with a shooting competition.

During our infiltration techniques day, Gold Star teens will conduct land navigation exercises with map and compass, will receive instruction and ride All Terrain Vehicles, will rappel, and will fly in a helicopter.

On our medical training day, Gold Star teens will learn how to conduct advanced first aid on a patient, and will put those skills to the test later in the day after receiving a mission.

On the advanced paintball day, Gold Star teens will kit up and hit the Military Operations in Urban Terrain (MOUT) site and attempt to capture the flag!

The week will culminate with a visit to Naples, Florida, for some airboat rides on the Florida Everglades, a visit to the beach, and some shopping.

Of course, We will always find time for campfires, games, and reconnecting with our GSTA family.
